Nzingah

Nzingah Oniwosan is Haitian-American influencer, wellness blogger,  inspirational speaker, holistic health consultant, yoga teacher, vegan chef, and model. As an award winning visual artist, jewelry designer, classically trained pianist, published poet, and African and Haitian folklore dancer; she has created healing a modality that fuses holistic medicine with the arts. Nzingah loves traveling, reading, and listening to NPR.

A native of Delray Beach, Florida, Nzingah went to Florida Atlantic University to study Neuroscience. She now lives between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Port-au-Prince, Haiti as she is co-founder of Impact Hub Port-au-Prince, a co-working space with a focus in social entrepreneurship.

Nzingah works as a teaching artist through her company Sankofa's Child. The focus is to use the arts as means to engage, build, inspire, and heal individuals, families, and communities. Her commitment has allowed her to work directly with well over a 100,000 children and adults nationally, and internationally. In 2014, she took the plunge to work on her blog and she hasn't looked back since.

In her spare time Nzingah sun baths at the beach, goes kayaking, and hiking. She also practices Ashtanga yoga five to six times a week. She currently is in an  a Ashtanga apprenticeship. When she is not practicing yoga or on an adventure, she's working with organizations like Kay Tita, Women's in Distress, and Days for Girls to bridge the gap for women and girls in technology and wellness. 

You'll usually find Nzingah out with her girlfriends exploring a new restaurant or travel destination.
